If you were part of the BETA testing phase and already on-boarded, you already have an NFT (you were assigned a new NFT id) and will simply need to download, run, and sign the newest software version to start mining again.
This is TestNet, however you will be mining for real tokens! While TestNet ELUM tokens will not be carried over, all token rewards earned through mining will be carried over to Mainnet. Earned tokens may be claimed, exchanged, transferred, etc. This will not affect your earnings and they will still be allocated when on Mainnet. We are still in Phase1 so mining is done with public cameras. Miners do not need their own camera at this time. Just download and run the software, it automatically connects to a camera feed and starts mining!
Total TestNet rewards will be set to 1000 ELUM per 60-minute epoch (this number is shared between all miners). Depending on the number of TestNet participants, this number may change.
While TestNet launch officially starts at the time stated above, BETA testers and waitlist positions 1 – 100 can start mining immediately with epoch distribution is set at a low 10 ELUM per epoch (shared between all miners) until launch time.
Start mining as soon as possible! The sooner you start, the more tokens you earn!
Not able to get an NFT yet? You can still get your wallet and software setup right away and can then claim your NFT as early as possible so you can sign your mining software connection and get started!

- First, you will need to set up your wallet and connect it to the Elumicate portal.
- Next, you will need to setup the mining software on your computer and start mining!
- We strongly recommend you purchase and stake at least 2500 tokens to get maximum rewards when mining (you can do this with the free IOTX you received when onboarding).
TestNet Explained
First BETA, now TestNet, then Mainnet.
During the BETA phase, we tested the mining software’s capabilities and functionalities when deployed to windows 10 computers around the world. Stability, object detection, load capacity, and overall system stability were other things that were tested during this phase. BETA testers helped the team identify key issues that were promptly dealt with and resolved, allowing us to move forward into TestNet phase.
TestNet is exactly what it sounds like. A test network. IoTeX has setup a test blockchain that we are connecting to in order to perform all regular activities and to test full functionality of our systems. This is the final step before Mainnet integration and the launch of the ELUM token.
Testing for this phase includes but is not limited to:
- Mining Software stability
- Automatic Epoch calculations from data uploads
- Reward accumulation and claiming
- ELUM token transactions
- Token Staking and subsequent reward multipliers
- NFT functionalities
The TestNet phase will offer full functionality including ELUM token transactions and rewards, it is important to note that with the exception of mined ELUM, ELUM TestNet tokens will never be transferred to the Mainnet. All ELUM token transactions are for testing purposes only (ELUM tokens will easily be acquired by trading TestNet IoTeX tokens, which are easily acquired for free). The purpose of the TestNet is to solidify and test the system in its entirety before the official launch.
Testnet is a great way to get started into the Elumicate Ecosystem, where you can get a feel for the project and help test the network’s functionalities, while mining ELUM tokens for free in the process!
